Qatar based football club side, Al-Sadd have rejected Barcelona’s offer to try and bring Xavi Hernandez to the Catalonia club.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Barcelona officials Rafa Yuste and Mateu Alemany visited the club in Doha on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 to negotiate the release clause of Xavi’s contract.
We welcome the visit of the administrator’s delegation from Barcelona and we appreciate and respect this. The club’s position is clear from the beginning, we are committed to keeping our coach Xavi with us and we cannot have him leave at this sensitive time of our season.
Barcelona are currently without a permanent ccoach, following the sack of Ronald Koeman from the club after a series of poor results in the league and on the continent. The Dutchman was sacked after the club suffered defeats against Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.
